

Active East Herts presents the Sele Cycle Week 2021. We have created a calendar of taster sessions, instructional classes and opportunities to try something new throughout the week, with cycling and active travel at it’s heart. Below you can view all of the session options and details of how to book onto the sessions.
We do expect all sessions to sell out so book early to avoid disappointment.
- Female only Breeze/Guided Rides
- Rides on Monday, Wednesday and Friday (Various times available)
- Breeze Rides are a great way to explore the local area with a qualified ride leader. These are steady and social rides with no one left behind
- All rides are free taster sessions

- Road Awareness sessions with RAFT
- All sessions on Tuesday 1st June for 2-13 year olds (45 minute sessions)
- RAFT teaches road awareness and safety messages in a fun, creative and memorable way for children
- Sessions held at Hertford St Andrews School
- Sessions are £10 per child

- Green Arrows Go Ride taster sessions (children and teens)
- Sessions running Tuesday and Wednesday(6:30pm - 8pm) and Thursday evening (5:30pm - 6:45pm)
- The Go Ride sessions teach young children and teenagers how to confidently ride their bike in a club environment including a challenge course for them to try.
- Sessions held at the Sele School (grass area next to the netball courts)
- All sessions are FREE as part of Cycle Week
- No booking is required, you just need to turn up with your bike and a helmet
- Electric Bike Demonstration
- Wednesday 2nd June - 10am - 12:30pm
- Come and visit the Highways Cycles team with a chance to test an Electric Bike around the Sele School field
- The field at Sele School
- This is a FREE demonstration as part of Cycle Week
- No booking is required

- Cycling Talk with Shu Pillinger - 3 Miles to 300 Miles - from Race for Life to Race Across America
- Wednesday 2nd June - 10am - 10:45am
- Join Shu Pillinger and hear all about her incredible journey as she became the first British lady to complete the Race Across America. Shu will also be joining the Wednesday morning BreezeRide!

- Intro to BMX Sessions - BMX Coaching
- Wednesday 2nd June - 10:30am - 1:30pm
- Learn some BMX skills with Jools including Bunny Hops and Wheel Lifts! Bring your own BMX bike or we can provide one, must bring own helmet
- Sessions taking place at Hertford St Andrews Primary School
- Tickets are £12.50 per child

- Bike Maintenance/Bike Doctor
- Thursday 3rd June - 10am - 12pm
- Bike Maintenance sessions with Highways Cycles. Learn how to do essential bike maintenance on your own bike or bring your bike to be seen and diagnosed by the Bike Doctor
- At the Sele School
- This is a FREE activity as part of Sele Cycle Week
- Learn to Ride
- Wednesday 2nd June - 9am - 10am and 10:30am - 11:30am
- Beginner bike riding course, parents must be on hand to help their child learn the absolute basics of riding a bike
- At the Sele School
- Tickets are £8 per child

- Bikeability Level 1 and 2
- Wednesday 2nd June, Thursday 3rd June and Friday 4th June
- These courses aim to get children enjoying cycling and giving them the basic bike control skills to develop as responsible cyclists

- MotiTech Demonstration
- Thursday 3rd June - 12:30pm - 3pm
- MotiTech is a static, seated cycling experience which allows participants to virtually cycle over 2000 routes from around the world from home!
